∠( ´^` 」∠)_ hey, want more monsterslut Sent? maybe a lil of the oc/canon i've been cooking? ye
thinking of your older posts about him having a fantasy of giving his body as payment to the quintessons, and of how the quints have some tie to Unicron depending on the continuity (iirc) so,, the quints giving Sent to a high figure that's closer to Unicron, either a priest or oracle or smthn else religious, ethereal. the quints hope offering a suitor will put them in good graces.
the figure accepts more-so out of pity than anything, oddly kind despite their circumstances. to Sent, they look like a warped reality packaged in a living being, altered but familiar. some parts are cybertronian, others are deep space bending into a barely comprehensible shape. and Sentinel is more than willing to serve them.
be not afraid. - [literally the most pathetic, down bad look possible] - maybe be a little afraid.
he learns that her chosen name is Gospel and that there's a growing part of him that wants her to walk him like a dog. metaphorically but, hell, maybe literally too. she's initially disinterested, a little annoyed even, but his attentiveness and need to please brews her curosity. they learn about each other and begin to genuinely care in their own odd ways.
that care, though, roots many thoughts for Sent. what if they have to consummate their relationship for whateved reason? would Gospel be okay w/ that? what would that entail? his processor is running on all cylinders as he thinks of the possibilities
(which i'll get into later bc it's bedtime and i am eep, if you can't tell,, okay, byyeee)
- 💫
oooooh, the idea of sentinel being head over heels for some sort of holy figure is really good! especially given his whole obsession with those more powerful than him. if he folded to the quintessons, imagine how down bad he'd be for someone more religious.
i also just... really like the idea of him being seduced by some sort of religious/holy figure. (which, i know unicron is pretty much the devil in cybertronian lore, but i mean holy to the quintessons, you get the drill) he tries so hard to be this perfect hero to cybertron, but then eagerly drops to his knees to worship someone who's essentially the cybertronian equivalent of an eldritch god
loving this oc idea, keep it up dude!
#i think transformers need more non robot non human ocs#just go funky with it and have fun#transformers#sentinel prime#transformers one#tfone sentinel prime#maccadam#answering things

How I'd fix Beast Machines
Biggest change: Megatron does NOT escape during the trip back to Cybertron. However due to time travel being weird and all the Maximals arrive 50 years after they left to chase after Megatron. In that time the Tripredacus Council made their move. They had a series of Vehicon drones constructed to act as security should Cybertron ever come under attack. However they were programmed to be loyal to the Council only. With this army at their disposal they initiated a coup and took power. Before the Maximals arrived the Council spread lies that they were the ones who had gone back to alter history in their favor. The fact they arrived in a shuttle from the Ark only boosted these claims labeling the Maximals as outlaws. As they fled they were heavily damaged due to refusing to fight their own people. Eventually they found themselves in the cavern of the Oracle Super Computer where they were all reformatted into technorganic forms. His spirit broken by this betrayal Optimus was humbled and Rhinox took command of the group as they figured out how to use their new bodies. Silverbolt had more difficulty than the others due to the corruption in his DNA files resulting in him becoming a triple changer with an individual wolf and eagle form. They are soon joined by Nightscream, a Maximal miner who was trapped in a cave in and in desperation activated their internal scan resulting in them gaining a beast form from a fossilized bat. Meanwhile behind the scenes Megatron made a horrible discovery. Due to the intense power of his dragon beast mode he required the power of the original Megatron's spark to keep it in check. Without it he risked being consumed by it. Even after upgrading into a new draconic jet mode whenever his temper flares the dragon awakens. While fending off the Vehicons the Maximals realize they aren't alone. A group of agents of the Maximal High Council reaches them and informs them that the High Council knows they are innocent and will work to prove it. This group is made up of former beast mode cassettes such as Ramhorn and Steeljaw, upgraded as Ravage had been. Their leader however is a familiar face. Waspinator. Waspinator reveals that as he rued the tribe on prehistoric earth he realized he was abusing them as Megatron had abused him and vowed to change his ways. He began to help advance civilization with his greatest gift being instructing the tribe on how to map the stars. However a volcanic eruption threatened his people. Staying behind to buy them time to escape Waspinator was trapped and entered stasis lock. He remained in this state until the year 2050 when scientists accidentally revived him. After restoring and repairing his systems (including a much needed repair to his processors) he decided to stay on Earth out of fear of encountering his past self on Cybertron. When the time was right he returned home and pledged himself to the Maximals. His experiences on Earth, both in the past and the present taught him the value of life and he swore to defend that life as a Maximal. The first season comes to a close as Megatron's manipulations result in the Tripredacus Council confronting the Maximal High Council resulting in both groups destroying the other and Megatron taking over. As a result he gains control of the Vehicons. Rhinox is gravely wounded attempting to stop the fight and this finally causes Optimus to regain his resolve and vow to make Megatron pay.
The second season begins with Optimus becoming more and more violent as he lashes out trying to prove himself a warrior until Cheetor is forced to step in and threaten to take command. Primal then finally confronts his guilt over the losses the Maximals suffered in the Beast Wars, the friends he watched die. With a new understanding and inner balance he truly returns to lead his team. He soon welcomes a new member to the group as a crashing ship reveals Botanica, a Maximal whose mission led her team to a world of plants. Meanwhile Megatron unleashes the Vehicons on the populace, confining most to their homes as he searches for the Oracle and the Key to Victor Sigma. His plan is to combine the two to first reformat Cybertron as a purely technological world and all Cybertronians as Predacons and then to turn the power on other worlds creating an universe of metallic worlds all ruled by him. Out of nostalgia he reprograms a trio of drones to act like Predacons. A jet drone is programmed to act like a more loyal Terrorsaur, a tank drone is programmed to act like Scorponok and a motorcycle drone is programmed to act like Quickstrike. However due to lacking the actual sparks of the originals there are flaws, such as the new Quickstrike speaking like a biker instead of a cowboy. Megatron's endgame begins when he discovers the body of Predaking, frozen in stasis until the Tripredacus Council could find a use for them. Megatron removes the combiner's collective spark and replaces it with his own. With the power of the combiner he makes his final move to claim the Oracle. In the final battle Optimus and Megatron are destroyed as the energy of the super computer are unleashed across Cybertron reformatting it and its people in new technorganic forms. The Beast War has finally ended as Rhinox leads a newly unified Cybertron into the future.

So I forgot I actually had a good portion of The Depcepticon Au fleshed out and since I retired that Au officially, I'll give the main bullet points
Thunderstrike travels to different worlds, either bringing deceptions back to order.
Pyrospear (Pyrrha) travels as well with her group, unable to find Thunderstrike or his crew,
Eventually both receive messages from their respective leaders from a planet called Earth
Over the course of years, battles take place on earth, eventually the cybertronian war is exposed with the death of Talon (Qrow) and the destrcution of a city to all the world and humanity is forced to fight for its survival
StormBlight (Sky Lark) dies much to ThunderStrikes sorrow
FireStar (cinder) betrays the decepticons for an opportunity to gain more power but is killed by Crescent Rose (Ruby)
Megatron and Optimus Mortally wound each other in final battle between the two
Pyrospear is given the Matrix of Leadership and becomes Pyrrus Prime while Thunderstrike becomes leader of the Decepticons after megatron's death
The war lasts another 10 years before Thunderstrike realizes its a useless war of attrition that will eventually end with their species extinction while killing the home of another
An uneasy peace is established; Decepticons control one side of Cybertron and the Autobots the other. (Retconning the original idea of them controlling a colony planet, got the idea from the Cybertron Cyberverse and Killzone Shadowfall)
A cold war takes place after, both leaders trying to keep the peace while dealing with rogue elements within each faction that doesn't like the peace
Thunderstrike renames himself Solaris, homage to one of the 13 primes while also trying to distance himself from his former life
Megatron and Optimus are still revered
Solaris and Pyrrus Prime are known to talk to each other when need be, Pyrrus still trying to reach out to him via Arcstrike
Overtime, she comes to understand Arcstrike is gone much like how PyroSpear is gone. Both have gone through too much to be who they were before the war
Both leaders work together to eventually bring a type of permanent peace and the eventual unification of their Race as one
It never happens but the hardwork they did does lay the groundwork for it to happen soon.
Pyrrus does her best to ensure another council and Prime never become corrupt. She is highly revered for her rule with the Autobots adopting the term "Age of Pyrrus Prime" to establish the timeline of her leadership
Solaris is highly regarded during his rule, creating a system of passing down power to a successor, in he himself takes care and guides a young Cybertronian until he finally step-down after ruling for 1000 years. Part of this is leaving Cybertron as not allow the old Decepticon ruler to influence/control the new Ruler.
Oracle is chosen to lead the Decepticons
The Age of Solaris's Rule ends.
Pyrrus Prime relinquished the Matrix of Leadership and hands it to Crescent Rose who becomes Scarlet Prime. The Age of Pyrrus Prime ends
Both Solaris and Pyrospear leave Cybertron together, to travel the universe itself together. Both having eventually grew close once more during their respective rules. Solaris claiming how he wanted to achieve his dream of exploring until he rejoins the Allspark. Pyrospear wanting to join him.
The two leave Cybertron, never to return. Unknowingly starting a tradition/protocol for both their factions in which both faction leaders give up their respective leadership roles when it's time and leave cybertron together to find a new path among the stars. This eventually leads to the unification of the Cybertronian race.

Iacon’s Oracle
(OC x TFOne Sentinel Prime oneshot)
No romance… just a bit of angst
‼️‼️‼️HUUUGE SPOILERS PLEASE WATCH THE TRANSFORMERS ONE MOVIE BEFORE READING‼️‼️‼️
•—•—•—•
(To read old cybertronian, translate from Latin to English/French)
Chained pitifully to a wall, unnoticed by the people who were supposed to hear my voice, I was feigning weakness. Before coming here I was the last angel of Cybertron, created for the sole purpose of eradicating the Quintessons if the Primes came to fall. Unfortunately for our father, one of our kind betrayed his own race for greed and power, for a fake sense of prosperity that was given to him, him who was once only the Primes’ secretary. Horned with sunlight gold wings, an energon blue and sky golden paint job, his blue optics gud a cold and dark spark, the complete contrary of a Prime’s.
That day, 50 cycles ago, he betrayed his kind and killed the Primes with the help of none other than the Quintessons. It was a forbidden deal he accepted; the Quintessons would give him the power “equivalent to theirs”, and he would deliver them every last drop of energon Primus could give. And when the Matrix of Leadership vanished, it would be proven to be a tough chore. This bot, this traitor, this disgusting being who dared to take the name of a prime was none other than Sentinel Prime.
Ugh, saying his name in such a way disgusted me, in some way, I was more of a prime than he was. I was created directly from the veins of Primus himself, gifted with his wisdom and the powers of knowing the fate of any bot who would stand before me. My name was Polaris, the holder of the Star of Guidance. This artifact enabled me to see the future as well as traveling onto Cybertron's surface via wormholes. Somehow, Sentinel did not see it, instead his tunnel vision only deciphered me as a minimal threat, although too great to be let go.
And too great to be spared.
I could feel his smugness pierce through me as he stasis-cuffed me, I was a mere prisoner to him, his grandeur too glorious to even look at me respectfully. He had no idea of who was standing before him, doing as if I was any useless war advantage rotting in his dungeon. My servos chained upwards, my helm bent forward as my optics were closed, I was entertaining myself with visions of his future, the future of a false prophet.
He was going to meet a gruesome death, the same fate as our unfortunate planet altogether, split in half like the population he’ll leave behind. He will start a war, more than one actually, he will die by the hands of the ones he thought inferior. He will regret his decisions the moment he will feel his body being crushed apart by the enemy he thought was weak and docile.
My thoughts were interrupted by the sound of a door being slid open, my helm didn’t falter from its bent forward position as I kept my optics closed. Familiar pedes echoed through the dungeon’s walls and cells, and he finally arrived at my door, which was carefully locked with three unpickable locks. The door opened, not sliding, but creaking as the hinges were awfully oiled. The door was heavy, they made sure to keep me from escaping such a poorly kept prison.
— Lift your helm, outcast… his voice reverberated barely on the insulated walls of my cell.
I slowly lifted my helm to meet his blue optics, which were as smug as the ones of a know-it-all sparkling. My own were as white as crystal, unique by themselves, compared to his, they reflected composure, maturity and wisdom, which he didn’t seem to care about.
— Hm, you still obey orders? How boring…
I stayed unfazed, my faceplate showing nothing but a neutral frown in response to his snarky remarks. My black paint job contrasted with his, it was extravagant and obnoxious, while mine was natural and blunt, not searching to attract attention. The only thing that could maybe be perceived as “decoration” was my wing-like audials, resembling the ones of Prima Prime himself, but dark like my plating. They represented my ability to fly even in the coldest, darkest nights.
— Listen to me… whatever you are… he said, not bending down to match my own as I was still uncomfortably kneeling to the floor, not as any type of respect, but because it was the only way for me to not lose my energy too much.
— Here… in Iacon, you obey to my rules… or you die… he said, his voice trying to sound intimidating
— Because down here… the truth is what I make it… he threatened, not liking my unwavering neutral expression
The silence was loud, it was way more powerful than his own words. He grumbled something and then spoke to his guards, telling them to unchain me but keep me in my cuffs. The guards did as ordered, and I could feel some hints of fear running through their energon flows. I got up, still stasis-cuffed behind my back, and even if I mass-displaced my body, I was still half-a-helm taller than Sentinel. He was lucky because if I was at my full height, I’d be almost two times his own stature.
— You follow me and you listen… he hissed, his guards tugging on the cuffs so I could walk forward.
On the other side of the door, I saw his main body guard, a femme, slim but tall equipped with many optics, she had many legs, a resembling the ones of a Quintesson, but they weren’t of Quintesson origin, I could feel it. She simply had an… odd appearance. She glared at me but I ignored her, only finding her as a mere distraction to try and unsettle me. The halls we walked through were filled in gold, statues of him everywhere… and I mean everywhere, it was astonishing even for him.
— For 50 cycles, I never found any other Cybertronian on the surface… he started, I felt like his monologue was going to be endlessly boring already…
— Maybe because I never really searched for any… except for the High Guard… and they’re already tough to find, maybe you have information about them?
He was met with silence, yes I encountered the High Guard multiple times, although I never engaged, fearing they might react like barbarians… since they usually did despite their supposed rank.
— Speak up! That was a question… he said, his glare was as weak as a sparkling’s engine roar.
— Perge monologo tuo... I muttered in old cybertronian as he kept glaring.
— Ugh… not that weird language again… he whined, giving up surprisingly easily.
— Still… I’ll end up getting information out of you… no matter the cost…
— Tam timeo… I muttered, subtly rolling my optics… he didn’t seem to hear or see my optic roll fortunately.
His guards and him brought me to some kind of conference room… and they sat me on one side of the table, cuffs still on my wrists. The two guards stayed by my side, while the multi-legged femme stayed beside Sentinel as he sat in his own chair.
— Now… I’ll be asking questions… and you answer… He asked, a hint of annoyance clearly apparent in his tone.
— Can you even speak normally? He asked, already impatient somehow.
— If I want to… I answered, my voice neutral and unwavering as I heard his annoyed sigh.
— Great… at least we have that… Now tell me your designation if it’s not too hard for you…
— My name is Polaris… I bluntly answered, politeness had never left my processor in those 50 and more cycles of living.
— Hm… and you’re a Cybertronian?
— Yes… I said, stopping myself from adding a fateful “technically” to my answer.
— Why were you on the surface? Spying? Sabotaging? Any ulterior motives—
— It’s nothing that should concern you, I cut him short on his enumeration.
He sighed, putting his faceplate in his servos and looked back at me with pure annoyance and impatience.
— Look… it’ll be easier for the both of us if you just answer my questions and—
— I’m answering your questions…
— Ughh… fine.. he said audibly sighing again.
— Then… What are you? He asked, glaring at me as if I was wasting his oh so previous time.
Such a question was unexpected… I just answered to him that I was a cybertronian—
— Oh please don’t shut up the moment you can speak… you’re not any cybertronian… he said, throwing some data pads in front of me.
They were old archivings of my people, “…the winged children of Primus, thus shall save us from the Quintessons and their descendants…”
— You’re an angel… the last of your kind if I recall… which explains why you’re not with other angels…
The guards looked at each other, despite having no visible face, they seemed perplexed, and despite the many-legged femme’s neutral expression, I could decipher confusion in her purple optics.
— So tell me… Polaris… Why is it that you’re not looking as tall, powerful and glorious as those datapads tell? Why don’t your wings show? Why not just break out of those stasis-cuffs? You could kill me anytime!
He talked in a provoking tone, although surprisingly not as smug as I expected, he seemed almost… hesitant to be more arrogant, as if he knew the extant of the powerful being’s patience that was standing right before him. Yes I could behead him right this instant… yes I could destroy his golden palace in the flick of a digit.
— I am not the one fated to put an end to your reign… I finally answered, reluctant to develop, but simply by answering his question, I sealed my own fate.
His optics changed from annoyance and disinterest to the polar opposite, he was invested.
— Oh really? Then who is? He asked, a grin slowly forming on his faceplate.
— Would telling you benefit you in any way? I asked, making excuses despite it being true.
— If a fate is written, it is carved in the spark of Primus himself, it cannot be changed.
Sentinel grumbled silent angry words. I could see the many-legged femme slightly roll her purple optics.
— It would probably not… but can’t a bot be curious?
— Yes… but telling you seems useless—
— Why are you so stubborn?
— Because if you hear your fate you will laugh at it like the arrogant spark-eater you are…
I insulted him, no regrets were shown, I have to admit that I disrespected him quite directly. Calling another bot a spark-eater is like calling this bot an animal, a monster, a mindless beast. I think I saw the purple-eyes femme widen her optics ever so slightly at the offense.
— How dare you disrespect me—
— Do you still want to hear the cause of your inevitable demise?
He seemed thoughtful, offended, but thoughtful, as if considering if he wanted to hear who would kill him. Still… I’d never reveal the name of the cybertronian who would kill him. If I do he might make his end far more gruesome.
— Yes… please tell me how I can avoid my—
— At first it will seem like a small victory, you will achieve a secondary goal, it will be a small accomplishment that will seem unimportant… but this overestimation will lead to your doom…
— You will encounter a mech, he changed and was betrayed by one that was once somebot that he admired. He will be full of hate, fueled by betrayal and grief. He will be the first bot to ever rise up to your arrogance and greed…
At my last words, his blue optics widened, as if a flash of fear struck his processor. He didn’t seem to expect this, he was thoughtful, but attentive, I continued my monologue.
— He will have allies, they will help him defeat you once and for all… although his way of doing it is different from the one of his compatriots. His peers will show Iacon the truth… who you really are… they will return Iacon against you…
His optics now showed annoyance, as if he didn’t believe me. But he was still willing to listen.
— You will contemplate your last moments of fake glory and you will fall to your knees… unable to fly away like a coward… unable to even run… desperately crawling away, your bodyguards are the only thing keeping the hatred fueled mech from tearing you to pieces…
I saw Sentinel’s fists clench, he was furious, as if he thought I was underestimating him. But this was the truth… the inevitable.
— His allies will try to stop him, but the blindness of rage won’t unable him to stop—
— Enough! He screamed… but I wasn’t done.
— His scarlet optics will stare right into your spark as he pulls you up from the ground where you were desperately crawling on—
— Stop! He screamed again, glaring at me with gritted denta…
— Are you sure… Sentinel? I asked, looking at him, my white eyes contrasting with the uneven shadows of the room.
— I… he muttered, his vents shaking.
I waited for a valid answer, my stare was purposefully eerie, forcing an answer out of him.
— Well?
— YES! Yes I’m sure— GET HER OUT OF MY FACE!
The guards lifted me up and I gladly obeyed. I couldn’t help but feel satisfied as I heard his shaky voice over and over again in my processor. This tone was something that I was waiting for… Eventually the guards threw me back in my cell, locking the door behind me as I grinned.
— Sciebam eum imbecillem esse... veritatem ne audire quidem potest quin eam timeat…

Bird of Prey: The Primes and the Matrix
Like a lot of things about Cybertronian society, the role of a Prime is surprisingly fluid and therefore defining what it is, is not an easy task. Historically, the one constant seems to be that Primes take an active role in a crisis: starting with Prima’s failed rebellion up to the current Prime’s role as the military and political leader of the Autobots.
However, once the crisis is over, Primes tend to step down, allowing Cybertronians to govern themselves, and take on the role of a teacher and a guide. Guardian Prime’s primacy starts with a decision to remove himself from active governing of Cybertron and assuming an advisory role. Similarly, once the second civil war is over, Sentinel Prime makes a similar choice to remove himself from governing Cybertron and remains reclusive until the rise of Megatron.
Another point of confusion for some humans, is the fact that the role of a Prime is not wholly secular, which leads them to assume they are “robot Pope”, “robot Pontifex Maximus” or a divinely appointed king, none of which are actually all that close to what Primes are. While some Transformers, like the Reversionists, see them as divinely appointed by Primus, this does not mean the same Transformers view them as infallible oracles of Primus and will recognize their authority. Other Transformers may believe in Primus, but don’t see Primes as in any way divinely appointed by Primus.
Specifically, the retiring Prime selects the next Prime. The wisdom contained in the Matrix can steer the choice, but a Prime can select someone whom the Matrix will not support. Such a case would have been Zeta, who may have been a reliable follower of Guardian Prime but lacked the qualities that the Matrix responds to. To receive the Matrix’s support, a Prime must not just be ready to fight a losing battle, they must believe that the fact they are fighting for the right cause means they can win despite that.
To further the confusion, the First Cybertronians are sometimes also referred to as Primes (e.g. Solus Prime or Nexus Prime), despite none of them bearing the Matrix in Cybertronian legends. And if that were not enough, the bot who had been elected as the leader of Cybertronian government after Nova retired and Guardian stepped down assumed the name Nominus Prime.
The other point of confusion here, which may lead to the “divinely appointed king” comparison, is the fact that Primes carry the Matrix of Leadership. It should be noted that “leadership” is not the same as rulership in this context and seems to shift meaning depending on the political situation on Cybertron. A Prime does not have to rule Cybertron or the Autobots to remain the Prime. Only the Matrix is required, and even that might be completely inactive for a specific Prime.
Compared to human religions, Primes who can use the Matrix are most similar to shamans. Through the Matrix, the Primes have access to the wisdom of their predecessors, something that no other Transformer seems to have. They can access this wisdom by going on a vision quest, in which they will be guided by one or more of their predecessors and receive advice on how to solve a given crisis.
Finally, a Prime’s authority is purely customary. There is no official document that states that a Prime is the head of the Cybertronian government or even the leader of the Autobots. In fact the only Prime whose leadership was uncontested by all Cybertronians would be Prime Nova, her authority derived from the fact that she was the one who led the Cybertronians to overthrow the Quintessons.
The Matrix-bearing Primes are:
Primus - the first to wield the Matrix against the Hate Plague
Primon - Cybertronian constructed by the Quintessons early on
Prima - leader of a failed rebellion of military hardware against Quintessons
Prime Nova - leader of a Cybertron-wide rebellion against Quintesson turned explorer.
Guardian Prime - Nova’s successor
Zeta Prime - Guardian’s follower and the bearer of the Matrix after him. The Matrix did not respond to Zeta, other than guiding her to choose Sentinel
Sentinel Prime - the Prime who won the second Cybertronian civil war
Optimus Prime - the current Prime
First Cybertronians/deities sometimes also referred to as Prime:
Other Cybertronians to use the title Prime, who did not bear the Matrix:
Nominus Prime
The Matrix
The Matrix of Leadership was created by the pre-Quintesson Cybertronians to stop the Hate Plague - a way of converting the wisdom of those who bore it into a weapon. It was then wielded by the first Cybertionian - Primus.
It was then lost for a time, when Cybertron was taken over by the Quintessons. Eventually, it was found by Quintessons, who decided to find out what it does by putting it into Primon. Once his body was rebuilt, the Matrix was also placed in Prima, and then later in Nova.
If the Matrix approves of its bearer, it allows them to access the wisdom contained in it. This has two forms:
Conscious - a Prime can go on a vision quest into the Matrix and pose questions to it. Usually, a guide in the form of one of the previous bearers will appear to act as the conduit.
Unconscious - a Prime has access to the skills of the previous Primes, i.e. Optimus Prime has not only his own combat experience, but also that Prima, Nova and Sentinel, etc.
If the Matrix deems it necessary, it can also make a Prime bigger, stronger and harder to damage. The Primes benefit from the effect to varying degrees: some get a much more obvious boost then the others.

According to Marty Isenberg, the crew of Beast Machines had no access to episodes of the G1 cartoon at first. They were told that the only time Cybertron appeared was in the 1986 movie. They had to find out on the internet that there were many G1 episodes set on Cybertron and they had to track down the episodes in a mine in Pennsylvania to watch the show. They then decided to retcon the Oracle as Vector Sigma after that.

Cybertronian Sorcery: A Lost Art
⚠️This is a Personal Headcanon, using lore from TFP, Bay's Last Knight movie, Quintessa [TLK] and personal Ideas and HCs ⚠️
In the early times of Cybertron, it was fabled that there existed an order of what most stories would call mages, sorcerers and sorceressess.
These mages were spinners of Energon, weavers of divine energies, a gift of Primus by which they could not only reshape reality around them, but also see beyond it.
It was said that Primus had blessed them with power directly from the AllSpark. So that they might see not just their own world, but those beyond. Worlds past, current, and yet to be, worlds alternate to theirs, similar and more.
Each wielded a relic which carried a portion of their Spark, and a portion of their power, a Focus by which they could reshape the world as they saw fit.
In the first Eras, they were key to the reshaping of their world, of crafting the landscapes, the wildlife and even at first, the very inhabitants of the planet.
There was no limit to the extent of transformation by which they too could go through, able to adapt to what was necessary. Forms smaller, bigger, agile, stronger, or more.
This art, of weaving reality around them, was also a target on their backs as time came, and the ages of conquest began.
Used as soldiers, medics and more, their numbers dwindled, slowly but surely. That by the time these conquests and crusades ended, there were only a few hundred left, in comparison to the once hundred thousands in their ranks.
After which, came the Hunts.
As tensions rose in Cybertron, with the change of politics, religion and more, the Mages were persecuted, seen as not blessed guardians, oracles or shapers of the world.
Instead, they were now seen as vile witches who could do as they pleased, able to instead warp reality on a whim and no one would be none the wiser.
It is said that none survived, the relics they once weilded now on display in the restricted section of the Iacon archives, where they remain heavily monitored.
But there are whispers that their teachings remain shrouded in myth, found within storybooks and folktales, some argue that they never existed, and were a mere ghost story, the relics on display entirely replicas to fulfill these stories.
But none can truly say for sure.
But what all can agree, that the power they did use, was one to be feared and respected.

I would love to hear about your SG!beast wars AU.
HEY HI I really appreciate the interest!!! In this AU, I'm actually combining Beast Machines and Beast Wars motives together!
Here, the Oracle is a malevolent computer seeking the downfall of Cybertron, and thus it calls out to the most strong-willed, cold, harsh of the Maximals, Optimus Primal. It tells him Cybertron must be reformatted, and returned to its organic origins, and he has to be the one to do that. In order to do so, he and his Maximals set out for Earth as its organic energies are so powerful that enough of it could completely reformat Cybertron. They also take several Protoforms, as a means of hauling even more organic matter back to Cybertron.
The Predacons do NOT like that idea, as the organic origins of Cybertron have already been cropping back up and messing with a lot of things. Megatron knows the reformatting would require the deaths of everybody on Cybertron, which he absolutely cannot allow. Therefore, he packs a bunch of Predacons and they go cruising after the Maximals. A huge fight ensues and they crash on Earth, with the Protoforms scattered all around.
The Maximals and Predacons are hunting for the Protoforms, with the Predacons not only wanting to prevent Primal's plans but also seeking to add more troops.
I wanna discuss this AU more ask me about specific characters PLEASE.

if there's a particular character trait that always hotwires my 'oh i like them' button, or that makes them read as inherently compelling to me in a way that is otherwise really hit or miss, the word that comes to mind is integrity.
Its hard to articulate it. In trope talk, I'm a huge fan of characters that, when antagonistic, can be read as Knight Templars, Principle Zealots, and the Fettered. People bound, possibly to insane extremes, by their own codes of conduct, their personal bonds of loyalty, or their word.
One example of this is Beast Machines, a sequel to Beast Wars that was hugely divisive at the time. The first season has Optimus Primal fall to increasing extremes of zealotry and doing as he believes the Oracle demands of him, to the point that in the season finale, he unleashes a weapon that could wipe out all of Cybertron, declaring: "If this is the will of the Matrix, so be it!"
In the following season, he realizes he was manipulated and gradually returns to being the noble leader of the Maximals, but the key point here is, as a kid watching this series, I thought that it was a bit extreme but meant to be admirable. Truly sticking to your guns even at the expense of destroying the world.
So this concept comes up again and again with my most favorite characters; refusal to EVER compromise themselves, no matter the cost or consequences. Not their word, not their honor, and not even if it means the end of everything. No excuses, no compromise, no matter what.
In more heroic characters, this can be played as less extreme; bound to their personal beliefs on how a person should act and sticking to it, regardless of context. This can lead to heroes who stick to doing the right thing and refusing to ever think in terms of the bigger picture or moral compromises, with this portrayed as good; like a hero who always stops to get a cat from danger, whether its just on a random walk, or as the world itself is ending.
Someone might say that they ought to at least allow the cat to potentially suffer harm, and instead focus their energies on saving the world itself. But the hero does not; doing this would compromise themselves. No excuses, no matter what.
So this can lead to a character that can be seen as an extremist. Nowdays I've noticed is very common for ruthlessness or a willingness to compromise principles for the greater good being seen as a default; consider all the think pieces that assume that Avatar Aang SHOULD have at least seriously considered killing Ozai in the ending of Avatar the Last Airbender, without really commenting on how the series doesn't line up with this kind of idea. But that kind of 'any route to get to the destination' is so commonplace that its sort of taken as granted.
This brings us back to my original point; integrity. A refusal to compromise yourself can be read as an extreme of integrity. Whether or not this is a negative trait depends entirely on the tone the story takes; in my own works, it is a positive. Even a fierce villain, an unrepetant villain, can be read as noble in their own way if they don't even spare themselves from their own harsh world view (like a Darwinian antagonist who believes the weak should be destroyed, and upon suffering a disabling blow, refuses to escape certain death, because he applies this even to himself, showing at least some kind of honor in his final moments).
This ultimately lends itself to one of my favorite character detail ideas. That this restraint, or an absolute codification of your sense of self in 'things I will not EVER do' is the fear that by compromising yourself, what is left?
"If you do it for a good reason, you'll do it for a bad one. No excuses." Its a very ironclad attitude that I find very appealing, especially when the flipside of this ("Do whatever it takes to get what you want, who cares about that?") is something I consider inherently antagonistic or at least unappealing, especially since it can feel like a fairly cheap dismissal of genuine character pathos.

Transformers Theory: If The Decepticons Of TFA Found Out The Core Of Cybertron Is Organic...
[Note: Please Don’t Reblog This Without Permission. also even though this post isn’t really mature, I’m still going to put the mature audiences only and not for kids tags for this. also reading this theory is optional.]
I think they would take as well as Sentinel, which would be them freaking out and assuming the position where they lay on the floor and start to rock back and forward as learning the truth about their home planet has traumatized them.
yeah, in Beast Machines, it ends up turning out that Cybertron wasn’t always a Metal Planet, and was originally a Organic World....that is until it was Cyberformed into a metal world and had possibly harmed some of the organic life on it, half of it being killed while half of it ended up mutated into “Demons” that would later become Predacons and Maximals.
Megatron, could be shocked at first but could end up taking it a bit better than Shockwave, Lugnut, Starscream, the Starscream Clones and the rest of the Decepticons....
Blitzwing could be fine either way, but still be really super surprised that their home world was originally organic and has a organic core.
I think Shockwave might not be able to properly process it and might even keep saying that it isn’t possible or logical, yeah, try saying that about Brawn marrying a Human like Cover-Girl from G.I. Joe....
I think it would not just freak out the Autobots that the core of their home planet is organic, but it could very well freak out the Decepticons...
but some could take it a bit better than most, and some could have a very serious freak out about it and start running around and scream to the well of allsparks in the sky, that it isn’t true and it isn’t possible...
but no matter how much they try to deny it, they will have to accept that they too, have organic heritage.
it could still ended up freaking the Decepticons and Autobots out, that it being possible for Cybertronians and Humans to have children, and well Sari is living proof that it is possible, even if it is by having the hatchling scan the DNA of the human parent.
so it could be possible that Primus has been hiding this truth, that the planet cybertron has a organic core and it was the body of the Allspark, until Primus’s core and good half was placed into Cybertron....so that could mean that Cybertron has two cores, one being Primus the Male Half and the other being the Allspark which is the Female Half and is also the organic half.
and if Primus were to fuse his core half with the organic half, and it being willingly by both sides, it could be like a relationship...
Tigerhawk is still the first romantic fusion and relationship, and I’m going to view them to be like the Garnet of the Transformers Universe.
Tigerhawk isn’t two people, and he isn’t one person, he is a experience.
the Oracle, could turn out to be the organic core of Cybertron, having become one and in the same with it’s original organic core before Primus came along and fused with the organic planet and had cyberformed into a metal planet.
Techno-Organic Cybertron is the future and evolution of all Cybertronians.
but it doesn’t still mean that it wont still freak out TFA-Megatron’s Decepticons...
it be interesting that it isn’t just TFA-Optimus who can be a helicopter mom....well, dad...
because of how he was listening in on Bumblebee, Bulkhead and Sari when they were trick-or-treating.
Megatron being a helicopter dad, would be interesting...
like if he listens on Blitzwing and Lugnut in the same way Optimus did, but like if Shari (Shattered Glass Sari) is with Blitzwing and Lugnut when it happens.
like they could be out at some dance club, when it happens, and Shari could comments that Megatron (not the one from Shattered Glass...)
is being a helicopter dad.
the name Shari can be seen as a type of nickname for SG-Sari, and I think it fits her....because it can also be seen as coming from the words....
Shattered Glass Sari.....so it still fits.
I’m not sure what else to say about my thoughts about how the TFA Decepticnos would react to finding out that Cybertron has a organic core...
other than that I don’t think all of them would take it very well and would likely freak the spark out....and when that happens, they would need time to calm down and fully process the truth....it will still be funny if Sentinel freaked out about it and he could take even longer to accept it than the Decepticons.
even if this post isn’t really all that mature, but I rather it still be read by a mature audience only, and it being not for kids....and hope some can understand that.
also, reading this weird theory is optional, so it’s okay that not everyone reads it. if I decided to talk more about the theory about the TFA-Decepticons freaking out and losing their minds over finding out that their home planet has a organic core, then maybe sometime I will talk more about it...
but for now, this is all I have at the moment and I guess I can think more about it and how it could go for the Decepticons after they learn that Cybertron has a organic core....

An older thought but with the Oracle being Primus and calling upon the more beastial bots, I'd like to imagine that Primus feels a connection with more animal-like transformers due to his previous children, being well, the organic animals that once lived on cybertron

A thought occurred to me around 3am this morning.
The storyline for skyrim can be integrated fairly seamlessly into the transformers universe.
Like, Ulfric Stormcloak could be Megatron
General Tullius would be Optimus
The Thalmor could be the Old Senate/Functionists
The Solstien DLC could be Vos
Dawnguard could be something like the Deciples of Unicron verses the Paladins of Primus
The 9 divines could be swapped with the 13 primes and primus while the 16 daedra could be some sort of evil counter part to the primes and Unicron
Different holds could be lead by different characters like Whiterun's Jarl Balgruff is Ironhide but if you side with the Stormcloaks (Decepticons) it would be someone like idk Thrust or something.
Mercer frey (leader of the thieves guild) being Getaway
Dark Brotherhood made up of renegades from both factions and acting as assassins
The wreckers taking the place of the companions guild
Iacon Hall of Records being the College of Winterhold where the arch mage is the one to hold the Covenant of Primus or something
Alduin being Unicron
Each race being a different kind of bot, like tanks are Orcs, wood elves are speedsters, beast races like Khajiit and Argonians are beastformers, ect.
Each hold would be a different section of Cybertron
Daedric relics could be 'corrupted' versions of the iacon relics (apex armor, skyboom shield, ect)
Werewolves and vampire lords are characters with a 3rd form
Dwemer could be ancient Cybertronians
Vector Sigma and the Oracle are located in Blackreach
Falmer are sparkeaters and the two snow elves you encounter are ancient paladins of Primus
Scraplets are a common mob you can fight like frost spiders
Draugr are Terrorcons
Dragons are the TFP predacons
Tfp predaking is Paarthanax
The graybeards are followers of Onyx Prime
Primus would be Akatosh
Idk these are my ramblings and I might make a "who would be who" list or something.

Dinobot Triceradon
"It's better to have stood your ground and lost than never to have stood at all."
This version of Triceradon was released as part of a series of three two-packs in the Dinobots Walmart exclusive line, around 2002-2003 by my estimate. Not much was clear about them, but they were eventually assigned to the RiD continuity (and thus, kind of in the G1 continuity as I mentioned for Rail Racer).
Not much lore specific to this Triceradon was ever given. However, there was a different Triceradon introduced in Beast Machines (around 1998 by my estimate), and later continued in Universe. So the way I see it, these are more or less the same individual.
When Dinobot died during Beast Wars, his Spark rejoined the Well of All Sparks. Here, his experiences and the genetic code of his "Hollywood Velociraptor" beast mode were logged, analyzed, and dissected by the god-computer, Vector Sigma. When Beast Megatron returned from the past and unleashed both the transformation-lock virus and his Vehicon drones, a group of survivors separate from Optimus Primal's group fled into the depths of Cybertron. There, they found the Oracle, an interface to Vector Sigma. The survivors were reformatted into new biomechanical* forms, with prehistoric beast modes, and rendered them immune to the transformstion-lock: a fusion of ancient might and Cybertronian advancement. Thus, the Dinobots were made. They worked as a resistance force within the conquered Cybertron, until some of them got abducted by Unicron into the Universe War. After this, some of them, Triceradon included, would return home and help train a new generation of Dinobots. Or at least, that's how I envision the Dinobots line integrating with the separate Beast Machines character.
Triceradon transforms into a triceratops (no points for guessing that), but also has a "trap mode", being a dead triceratops with exposed flesh and bone. This is a leftover from Guiledart, the first use of the mold. Most of the dinosaur Predacons from Beast Wars Neo had these trap modes.
If the timeline I suggested is correct, that would mean that Guiledart might have some sort of Cybertronian genetic link to Triceradon, as Triceradon's time was long before Guiledart's in-universe, though Guiledart's toy came before BM Triceradon.
Funny enough, RiD Triceradon still has a BM Dinobots styled spark crystal, it just has an Autobot insignia stamped on top of it

This is a problem with Transformers across the board. Hasbro and Takara have never really settled completely on whether the Transformers are just space robots or a unique life form that is similar to robots as we understand them, but are alive the same way organic species are.
The concept of Evolution among the species is almost intentionally vague, as because they’re a robotic species, they less evolve like organics and merely upgrade like you upgrade software on a computer. The most famous pseudo example is G1 Megatron becoming Galvatron due to Unicron’s power, however it’s clearly not Evolution when the Insecticons and Jets are rebuilt into completely separate entities as Scourge, Cyclonus and the Sweeps. Beast Machines refers to a “Great Upgrade” from Autobot to Maximal (and presumably Decepticon to Predacon), as well as making references to technological updates to Transformers while Optimus and Megatron’s Maximals and Predacon were on prehistoric Earth. The reformatting to techno-organic bodies via The Oracle seems to be treated as outright evolution, but it’s a bit muddled, especially since it’s never clear how the Maximals sustain themselves in these forms if they’re not consuming Energon anymore, as it’s implied.
IDW toys with evolution through Adaptus, one of the first Transformers created on Cybertron. Adaptus felt ongoing conflict brought about evolution, as he didn’t want Cybertron to fall behind organic races who would eventually evolve into beings of a higher existence. He’s basically the reason Cybertron constantly seems to find itself consumed with warfare, but Rodimus points out how conflict doesn’t seem to have advanced the Transformers at all, as they don’t look all that different from their ancestors.
Evolution is a component of Armada, but it primarily refers to the Mini-Cons ability to reconfigure parts of a larger Transformer’s body to make a new weapon, like Hot Shot’s bazooka. It can be argued the Cyber Planet Keys also grant a similar Evolution but it’s never referred as such. The Colony Planets also imply Evolution is a factor, because of the different vehicle/beast modes and cultures, but it also seems implied it’s just typical mechanical upgrades and Scanning. We see this with Overhaul hanging out on Animatros in his original Vehicle Mode, but when pushed into a corner by Scourge, he Scans an image of a lion and reformats into LeoBreaker. This is referenced again when Hot Shot, Scattershot and Red Alert, near death, are upgraded into military vehicles. Now both instances also involve the divine power of Primus and the Cyber Keys, as similarly the Gigantian Transformers grew giant sized in ancient times via this power also, with Landmine temporarily becoming Gigantian sized (but not upgrading into a new body); it’s not clarified if this is flat out evolution though. Starscream also upgrades using the Omega Lock, becoming Gigantian and Primus sized, which if we’re assuming this counts as Evolution, then all Transformers are destined to become Primus and Unicron sized?

This feeds into IDW playing around with what a Transformer can do, to fan outrage as it makes them too OP, and somewhat negates Transforming altogether. A particular instance of this is Mass Shifting, based on a quirk in G1 a Transformer can shrink down into a smaller object like a gun, boombox, cassette or microscope. IDW interprets this as Transformers having a natural ability to grow and shrink regardless if it relates to their Vehicle, Beast or Object Modes. Megatron shrinks down to Rewind’s size to help with a problem of the day while Rung grows to giant size in both Modes in a couple of instances.

In particular, Rung disables the circuits in his body that control Mass Shifting at a critical moment, allowing him to grow giant sized unencumbered to deal with a weaponized moon attacking the Autobots. What stopped Optimus and Megatron from doing this during the Great War to one up each other is unclear. Funny enough, this does happen in Superlink, but there it’s explained as the power of Unicron (and Primus and the Energon itself in other sporadic instances) giving both the power to grow planet sized (even letting Optimus to somehow manifest a copy of Omega Supreme to combine with, to Omega’s surprise when he arrives mid battle).
Transformers are at the whim of the creative team, and what they can and can’t do is mostly treated as a suggestion at best. The Cyberverse staff, for example, REALLY wanted the Transformers to be gender fluid, and that they could freely Transform into male and female body types, but this was shot down, with the only allusion to it being Acid Storm (via a reoccurring animation error where they are seen in male and female body types). The Terrans being techno organic like Sari, TFA Blackarchnia and the Beast Machines Maximals not being explored is probably due to Animated and Beast Machines not properly explaining what such bodies are like for a robotic species.
I think Car Robots best exemplifies how Transformers are fundamentally viewed.

Devil Gigatron’s master plan in the finale is to corrupt Earth’s children, as he wants to harness their ability to grow and shape their own future in order to evolve himself and change HIS future. Transformers, at least as defined in this series, are an immortal species that are unable to evolve physically, spiritually, culturally and mentally as we do. They are destined to be stagnant, which basically means Sideburn will never grow out of his red sports car fetish and will continue to romantically chase them until the end of time.
This is interesting since the siblings we see in the series, the Autobot Brothers and Team Bullet Train, are brothers in different life stages: X-Brawn/Railspike as the adult tough and hard eldest brother, Prowl/Rapid Run as the middle younger twenty something brother, and Midnight Express/Sideburn as the younger, immature kid brother (ME seems to be an actual child in Car Robots going by his Japanese personality vs RiD01’s dub rewriting him as an eccentric British man, while Sideburn is roughly a teenager in his mid to late teens). This dynamic seems to imply the Transformers still age, but their personalities remain the same, so if X-Brawn is a rootin’ tootin’ wild riding country boy in his old age, pry not a stretch he was the exact same way when he was Sideburn’s age.
It feels like current writers have been trying to follow Devil Gigatron’s lead, but it does seem despite good intentions, the Transformers still remain a stagnant species and to some extent a stagnant franchise as of typing.
What unique powers or abilities should the Terrans have? For example, Devisiun twins can transform into vehicle mode together. Cyber-syncing was barely explored. There’s no established lore in what TFs can do (biologically). They can apparently, turn into anything. No limits (So where did Earthspark Grimlock came from?).
IMO one of the biggest wasted opportunities in ES was exploring the Terrans organic side more. In my Lotus AU, they can evolve to an extent much like other biological creatures. They eventually gain the ability to use photosynthesis for energy because of limited access to cave water.
